Five on Friday

Link up with these lovely ladies Darci, April, Natasha, and Christina.

ONE
I had my first Rita's Italian Ice Gelati of the season this week and I've forgotten how good it is! I got the Mango and vanilla custard and I'm a little ashamed to say that I'm obsessed and can't wait to go back. It's the best of both worlds, ice cream and an icee.

TWO
Do you have a Fresh Market near you? If you do pop over there on Tuesday and grab the best deal on chicken and ground beef I've seen. Every Tuesday they sell both for $2.99 lb. I had no idea until a friend told me recently. I went and stocked the freezer this week and it's nice to know you are getting good quality meat for such a steal.

THREE
I'm almost finished with Emily Giffin's The One and Only. Unfortunately it has not been my favorite. Being a sports person I liked the Texas football setting, but never really got into the story. I loved Giffin's earlier novels so I really wanted to like this book, but never really got passed mild interest. Anyone else feel the same about this book?

FOUR
I really wanted a coral/pink nail polish for Easter so I grabbed a cheapy Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Peach Beach. The coverage isn't great, but I love color. When you compare it to the almost $9 that OPI and Essie runs it's a great deal.

FIVE
I was walking around Target and while looking in the holiday section I found this Easter wreath for $6 (it's cheaper in the store than online). I always want to decorate for holidays, but I'm always super late. My thought is if I have decorations already then I'll actually put them up next year. Fingers crossed.

Have a fabulous weekend!

  1. I always forget that Fresh Market has that sale on Tuesdays!

I bought some Easter decorations this year as well from Target, I tend to always misplace the box I put them in when the season rolls around. Hoping to remember next year! :)

  3. I don't have a Rita's or a Fresh Market in my area. Wish we did after hearing about the deliciousness and deals! I'm always up for all things mango, so that custard sounds like perfection to me! Enjoy enough for you and me both! ;) So funny to see you talking about "The One and Only". This morning I was considering checking it out via the library app I mentioned in yesterday's post, OverDrive. I checked amazon for reviews first and a lot of people were saying the same thing as you, so I passed. I love the shade you chose for your Easter mani! Making note of the color so I can keep an eye out for it too. Sally Hansen in a beautiful color sounds good to me. Great color at a great price -- win/win! Thanks for sharing. :)

  5. I didnt think The One and Only was up to snuff either - I was so disappointed because I usually adore Emily Giffin's books; the story just didnt move along quickly. I dont know if you've read it or not, but if you want something more old school Emily Giffin in tone, check out The Rosie Project - such a cute story.

  6. I agree. I didn't really like that book either. Your wreath is pretty! We have a similar one.
