Five on Friday

Yay for Friday and the Five on Friday Link Up. Make sure to link up with the girls, Darci, April, Natasha, and Christina.

ONE

The last couple of times I've stopped in Trader Joe's I've picked up these Popcorn Chip things and I love them. They are a little sweet, a little salty, and pack a punch with whole grains. Awesome little snack.

TWO
I've been following Charleston Academy on Instagram for a while now and I was so excited to run across their book in the library the other day. I already have plans to try a couple of the recipes mentioned and I'm less than 50 pages in. I'm thinking this book would make the perfect hostess/shower gift, kind of like the beloved Southerner's Handbook.

THREE
Baby Girl was very loved and lucky last weekend and received a mountain of beautiful gifts at the baby shower, so I'm working my way through the thank you notes now. I found these really pretty note cards at Target and I'm really loving them. I don't usually go for cards that say "thank you" on them, but I loved the coral and gold leaf and they come 50 to a box. Great deal!

FOUR
My mom and I head to my favorite baby store this afternoon to design the nursery bedding. I never thought I would do something like that, but I just wasn't impressed with all the bedding I saw. I want a somewhat non-traditional combination (light pink/navy/white) and I don't want a ton of patterns and definitely no cutesy characters or scenes. Our walls and furniture are all neutral colors so we do need a little pop in the room. Here are some of my inspirations from Pinterest.

FIVE
While I had the camera out this week I couldn't help but take a picture of my sweet husband and pup. These boys are my absolute favorite!

  2. Love the three prints on the pillows! I felt the same way about baby bedding..I didn't love a lot of what I saw. I got lucky with the Liz and Roo set but otherwise I think I would have made something myself!
