Spring Nails

I am so ready for spring and I love all the new, bright nail colors. Where do I start?

And then for maybe a Gamecock baseball game, I love this idea from the Nicole Miller show.

Who's ready for some Gamecock Baseball

Today is the opening day of the University of South Carolina Baseball season. That’s the same team that has won the NCAA Championships not once, but TWICE in a row! I’m immensely proud of my team and I can’t wait to get to the ballpark. We are Gamecock fans through and though in our household.

Speaking of our household loyalties, Andy grew up in Maryland and is beyond excited that Cal Ripken Jr.’s son has committed to becoming a Gamecock in 2012!

Go Gamecocks!!!!!

It’s been forever since I’ve blogged. I have no good excuses. I’m going to try to be much better. Moving on…..

According to Facebook my status a year ago today was “I’m ready for some Gamecock Football” and I would say the exact same thing today. The first Carolina game is in Charlotte, NC over Labor Day weekend and of course I will be out of town for the holiday. Now I have to find a place in Maryland that will be showing the game, which will probably be impossible but I’m going to try my best.

I’ve found some crazy cute game-day dresses that I wish I could purchase for the season but for the moment I’ll just drool over them. GO COCKS!!!!!

Source: And yes I realize these dresses are in Georgia colors but they come in Garnet and Black

Happy It's Friday!

Man oh man am I glad it’s Friday! Work is getting busier with the addition of lots of new shows and even though we didn’t have a game during the week I didn’t seem to get much done at the house or catch up on much sleep. Oh well, I guess that is what weekends are for.

I’m reminded of why people love South Carolina today. It’s because of the weather! It reached 80 degrees today and it’s freakin’ gorgeous! I have family in the Dakotas that are getting snow flurries today. Talk about a difference. Ace is coming into town today for the weekend and we plan to take fun advantage of this beautiful weather. I’m thinking we will explore a hiking trail and maybe catch one of the first season opening games of the South Carolina Gamecock baseball team, National Champions baby! Sorry just had to say that. Clearly USC fans are very proud of their Cocks doing so well. (That Gamecocks for all you dirty minded people out there.) What better way to enjoy the warm temps than to be outside?
I’ve started a really fun new book that I thought I would share. It’s called The Man Who Ate Everything by Jeffrey Steingarten. Mr. Steingarten is a food critic and while I’ve only read the introduction seems to be very entertaining. I had been on a chit lit roll for a while so I thought I would switch it up a bit. So far I totally recommend it and I’ll let you know more of what its actually about later. Also if you are a chick lit lover like I am you have probably, and if you haven't should, read Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin. Well they are making a movie out of it and I can't wait. It looks adorable! Watch the trailer for yourself.

Everyone enjoy your weekend!
